Growing up in Ipswich, SD, I played every sport available to me. The memories, the friendships, and the lessons learned throughout my seasons played are incredibly valuable to me. However, it all would not have been possible without the numerous chiropractic adjustments I had to get me back into alignment and increase my performance for the next day. This all ignited a  passion in me for chiropractic, making it the clear path for my future since I was a sophomore in high school. 

I went to play Division 1 Junior college at Lake Region State University for 2 years and then attended Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD where I earned my Bachelor's degree. God had taken me to San Jose, CA where I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic West where I was immersed into a huge sports program that provided me with opportunities to work with a multitude of different athletes at a variety of sporting events. I was learning and treating anywhere from the Nike Run under the San Francisco Bridge to the Valor Games, treating and honoring veterans, listening to their inspiring and eye-opening war stories. My peers and I would also treat at many Iron Man and volleyball tournaments in Santa Cruz. 

Now, I love treating all types of patients. It truly brings me joy when I’m given the opportunity to  pray with a patient or introduce a patient to my dear friend and Heavenly father, Jesus. Although treating patients and helping them live their best, pain free lives has continued to be a passion of mine, building personal relationships and honoring those throughout the time a patient spends in the office is just as important to me. I also have loved sponsoring and spending time helping out with Lennox sports on the sidelines. 

One of the most common sayings I hear in the offices is, “It hurts so good,” a phrase I have come to love. Not only does it let me know that I am doing my job when I hear a patient say it, but I find it to be such an accurate depiction of chiropractic care itself – a second of discomfort for a lifetime of increased mobility and decreased pain. 

I enjoy spending time with my two Huskies, Kota and Becks on the weekend and hugging my nieces and nephews as much as possible. 

Dr. Bryce Brandt was born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD, where he graduated from Roosevelt high school in 2008.  Dr. Brandt graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University in November 2019. Prior to that, he got his degree in Nutrition sciences from South Dakota State university.  Dr. Brandt fell in love with chiropractic after an injury when he was young and loves the idea of helping people through holistic medicine getting them back to their optimal health without the use of surgery. 

Dr. Brandt takes a holistic approach when it comes to Chiropractic. His practice is based on the idea that once we are able to clear the nerve interference between the brain and body, we can start to heal properly from the inside out and achieve a higher level of function and wellness.

Dr. Brandt is trained in Diversified technique, Thomson drop table, Activator, Gratson soft tissue instrumentation, cold laser, Mechanical decompression, and rehabilitation exercises.  Dr. Brandt specializes in newborns to geriatrics, but has a passion for extremity mobilization and re-education.  

When Dr. Brandt is not in the office, he enjoys being outside, golfing, and camping. He loves spending time with his family, especially his nieces Boston and Willow.

Hi there! I’m Emma, a CA here at AFC! When I first started working here 2 years ago, I had no idea I was entering the uplifting, fun, Christ-centered community that I’ve come to know AFC is. Through my time here I have met so many amazing patients and watched the way chiropractic and Jesus can truly change someone’s life! As a softball pitcher, I would not have been able to compete at the level I did without chiropractic helping increase healing and keeping my shoulder aligned so it could perform at its best.

My most favorite place on earth is the lake, my go-to coffee order is a cafe miel, and every day that I get to spend time with my friends and family is a good day. My hope is that every patient at AFC can experience the healing and community that I and many other patients have!

Miss Laurie grew up on a small farm in southern Minnesota where she raised four boys, all of whom are grown and leading lives of their own. Her favorite hobbies include: biking, hiking, camping and daily workouts with time to spare for friends and family! Being passionate about physical fitness, health care and wellness is what sets our massage therapist apart! Miss Laurie earned an AAS degree in Massage Therapy and loves seeing how therapeutic massage has changed how her clients feel and move. Each and every massage is unique and based on individual needs, from a relaxation massage to therapeutic body work. She is constantly seeking new techniques and modalities to bring to her clients to help them achieve their optimum wellness. 

Hello! My name is Christina Shearer! I have a wonderful family consisting of my amazing husband David and our 3 beautiful girls, Lillee Ann, Elizabeth, and Felicity! We recently moved to the Lennox area to be closer to some family and found a wonderful little acreage to fill with my funky farm animals! We are quite the active family with careers, side gigs, and sports galore! You will find us at basketball games, volleyball tournaments, catching some sun at softball fields, remodeling an old unique home, bent over digging in the gardens, or in the barn trying to convince Mr. Huckleberry that he is too big to be a lap pig anymore!

Massage Therapy was just supposed to be the start of my adventure to become a Chiropractor! I graduated from Austin School of Massage Therapy in Texas in 2009 and began helping people with my hands right away. It did not take long to realize that Massage Therapy is my passion and I felt no need to become a chiropractor! There is just something magical about slowing down and helping the body heal with the touch of my hands! 

I have 12 years of experience working on a multitude of different bodies with various modalities, from young, strong soldiers needing deep tissue work, to the cancer survivor needing help with lymphatic drainage, and all those that just need a bit of help getting their bodies to relax with a bit of Therapeutic massage! For the past 5 years, I have sat on Main Street in Sturgis during the Motorcycle Rally and spent 12+ hours per day with my massage chair tending to sore, tired cyclists and vendors. 

What I love the most about Massage Therapy is that no two bodies are the same! Even the same body will be different each time it is before me and that ever-changing aspect of massage keeps me learning and growing as a therapist!
